Tassy Update

In the last year I have been able to present my own music numerous times, from a remounting of mulaka milaythina at the Clarence Jazz Festival, to a new extended work for the Richmond Bicentenary commemorations, to having 3 tunes perfomed by the Jesse Bowden Quintet at Pop-Up Jazz, to several gigs at Mona's and elsewhere with LD Trio. I have also been invited, and I prize this very highly, to work with Brisbane saxophonist Luke Cuerel on his CD recording project, Hobart emerging composer Mieka Tabart on her ABC commissioned recording, saxophonist Spike Mason on his latest recording, Brazilian drummer Carlos Ferriera in his samba jazz trio, and with many other Hobart musicians for one-off gigs here and there. The range of my public facing repertoire has expanded greatly, which is a welcome and very enjoyable challenge. Viva Tasmania! There's a lot going on here... must be something in the water....
