Danny Healy By Hand

Saxophonist Danny Healey is the first jazz composer to take part in the 4 p.m. project at Mona.

He spends all day in the museum writing music (Fri - Mon) and then a band shows up  - at 4 p.m. - to play the day's creations with standards in amongst. I'm in the Monday band, other fabulous Hobart musicians taking part on Fri-Sun. A great project - challenging, demanding, great fun! Everyweekend until June 6.
